Stopping just short of the wall
This was my entry for a Physics Olympics competition. The challenge was to build a vehicle that stops as close to a wall as possible without ever touching it.
Mine does the whole job with mechanics alone. There are no electronics and no motors anywhere on it, and it ended up winning 1st and 2nd place.
