An open-source 6-axis robotic arm that students, teachers, and enthusiasts can 3D-print and assemble at low cost.
01
Real robotics without a lab budget
Verso is an open-source, six-axis robotic arm that students, teachers and enthusiasts can 3D print and assemble themselves for under $300 in parts. I wanted building and programming a real robot arm to be something you could do at home or in a classroom, not only in a university lab.
Because it is fully open, anyone can study it, rebuild it and make it better.
02
Printed parts and drive electronics
Every structural part prints on a hobby 3D printer, and the arm has six degrees of freedom, so it behaves like the arms used in industry. A single sleeved wiring harness runs down the arm to the control electronics.
The stepper driver board rides on the side of the base, close to the motors it controls.
