A bench that keeps the fumes away
Soldering gives off fumes, and I didn’t want them drifting toward me while I worked. So I built a custom plywood workbench with a downdraft fume extractor and a carbon filter built right into it. It runs on 400 CFM server fans, strong enough to pull fumes down across the entire desk surface, so it works wherever I’m soldering on the bench.
